I have a Linksys WUSB11, can I use a 10' USB extension cable with this to get the antenna where I will have excellent signal strength instead of weak? Will the extension cause connection problems or reduce speed? Thanks, James

I took a hard drive out of a HP Pavilion computer and put it in a Gateway computer, but now it will not boot up. Boots fine in HP but nothing in Gateway. I can run the Windows 2k server disk in the cd rom, it finds the OS, can do a repair, but when it tries to boot back up, just goes to blinking...

I have my Contacts sorted by Last Name, First name. However, when I am sending an email, click on "TO" to open the contacts list, they are listed first name, last name. Is there a way to change the list to Last Name, First name? Any ideas! Thanks, James

Found it. Under device manager, view, show hidden devices.

You can set the BIOS to boot from the CD first. Then put in the Win XP disk and tell it to install Windows. It will then give you the option to "repair" or "install new". Just let it repair the installation and "usually" all your data and programs with still work.

I switched some PCI cards around for better access and now when I put in the TCP/IP configuration for my network card it says I already have the IP assigned to another card, but its hidden because its no longer installed. My question is how to do delete the hidden card?

I bought a SATA drive to use on the ASUS P4PE motherboard. Now, as far as I can find out, it only supports the SATA as a RAID. I want to use the drive as the only drive in the computer. What are my options for a PCI controller card to drive the SATA? What have you used and what works and what...

What about using one of the adapters and hooking it to the IDE connector? Anyone used one of these and do they work OK? Maybe if I can get the drive to be found and copy my old hard drive to the new SATA, then maybe get it to work on the SATA connector? Any ideas? Thoughts? Thanks, James

No luck so far. Only thing I have found so far is maybe I have to hook the drive to the PRI_RAID1 connector. But to do this I have to have an adapter. Any other ideas?
