    NEC FP2141SB-BK VS Mitsubishi DP2070SB-BK

Hmmmm.... now I'm not sure anymore of my "word of God" babbling after I read someone posted that the GDM F500R 21" monitor is sharper than the Mitsubishi 2070SB and they had both monitors side by side. Were they running both monitors off the SAME graphics card? In my experience I noticed that...

    NEC FP2141SB-BK VS Mitsubishi DP2070SB-BK

This is simply not true - you can throw around specs all day long, but in the end: The single most important factor in clear text is the quality of the video output filters in your graphics card. I tried ATI, Nvidia, and 3Dlabs VP880Pro ($600 card) and ALL of these cards produced REALLY fuzzy...

    NEC FP2141SB-BK VS Mitsubishi DP2070SB-BK

Take this as the word of GOD, because I've been through ALL issues of screen geometry and fuzzy text. 99% of graphics cards out there use 2nd or 3rd order video output filters which result in fuzzy text at higher resolutions. I've tried ATI, Nvidia, and even a high-end 3Dlabs VP880 Pro. The...

    Best 19" CRT ever made?

I have a Mitsubishi 930SB and I must say it's pretty damn good. Colors are wicked. It has Naviset software that lets me adjust screen geometry through software.... pretty awesome. Mitsubishi customer support is top notch too as I've had to RMA my first Mitsubishi monitor. The bottom right of...

Is it me or is it freakin hard to make a decision!?

On a hardware level, the top of the line Nvidia's and ATI's perform almost the same. For me it comes down to ease of downloading an installing drivers - I STILL HATE ATI's Catalyst drivers. First time I went to their website to download drivers, I didn't know up from down and it was a...

Unable to use BNC cables on my 21" monitor.

I've had "monitor properties" greyed out when using a 3DLabs VP880 Pro card. This did not happen with my Nvidia Ti4200 card. In my case, 3DLabs drivers are entirely to blame. 99% chance that ATI's drivers are at fault or not installed properly. Things that are greyed out in Windows I think...

    NEC FP2141SB-BK VS Mitsubishi DP2070SB-BK

In response to you comment about : I'll say it again - I tried an Nvidia Ti4200, an ATI AIW 9000 Pro, and a 3Dlabs VP880 Pro. All video card combinations result in the same geometry issues. The factory presets on this unit are not quite right. The non-symmetrical pincushioning at upper left...

    NEC FP2141SB-BK VS Mitsubishi DP2070SB-BK

The geometry issues of the particular model that I have are non-symmetrical. There are no controls to adjust non-symmetrical geometry problems. The Naviset software no longer works because I replaced my Nvidia card (one DVI and one VGA connector) with a 3DLabs VP880 Pro (dual DVI connectors)...

    NEC FP2141SB-BK VS Mitsubishi DP2070SB-BK

Two things to note from experience: Regarding 22" monitors, they will NEVER be as bright or sharp as a 19" monitor - how do I know? Because I ordered a 22" Mitsubishi 2070SB 3 weeks ago - brand new monitor from TigerDirect warehouse. Here's the issues I had with the 2070SB taken right from my...
