I'm new to the fakefactory mod. Can I just run v7.0 or will I need any kind of patch too? Also are there any other mods I should check out too or is this the only one needed. Thx.

I'd second an ASUS mobo. Also easier to OC. The only thing you have that I have experience with is the PSU. That Corsair is very good if a little pricey. But at 50A on 3 rails, you can power quite a system. Also, the Samsung can be hit or miss with the different panels . If you can find the LG...

Last time I checked the Creative X-Fi cards were the only ones to support EAX in Vista. But stay away from the xtremeaudio series. I also remember a lot of problems with the Audigy cards and Vista, but new drivers may have helped that.
