    not even a beep code? if you're comfortable taking it apart, make sure everything's connected properly, try clearing the cmos.

    you may want to look around your fan, take it off & make sure nothing stuck in there, then try agian, if you fan still makes that noise, the bearings probably went out.

    check your wires...make sure everything is plugged in properly & nothing's exposed or could cause any shorts.

    was it a surge protector or just a standard power strip? standard power strips don't have great surge protection

    well for one, your burner sounds like it may br going out...it may be causing your power issues. disconnect it & see if your other issues clear up. If not, then your psu is bad & you need to replace it. replacing your psu may clear up your burner issue as well.

    clear CMOS & reenter settings, but keep speeds at stock settings if it still won't boot without CD, try ffr at stock speeds

    looking at specs from http://www.ecsusa.com/ECSWebSi...ure&MenuID=123&LanID=9]ECS website[/url] it should support slower memory, and can support up to 1066
