Not every one is an expert...abx has far more noobies than AT and we have to cater to them.
If your willing to read you will notice lots of good content, with new boards generating a huge amount of traffic.Overclockers.com even said abxzone was the best place to see what was going on...
You guys must have seen the reviews that shows just how good the OCZ gold is. Also OCZ is NOT the company it once was, its MUCH better.Their customer support is top notch..much better than corsairs at the moment.
I would say it best to buy ram from them and judge them on their product and...
I have this board coming this week.Prometheus does also and we plan doing a joint review on asusboards.I will be chilling the cpu in my prommie while Prom will be doing air cooling. We are using 2.4b SL6RZ cpu's btw and mine is running memtest at 205fsb as we speak on the aopen board.
You need to try setfsb or easytune to push further once in windows...i have run 200fsb and benched at 195fsb where the board would only boot to 183fsb.Run setfsb..find the absolute max for the board etc and then set the same with easytune so it auto overclocks your rig on every boot..Job done!!
Nice work Thugs!! I still don't know how you well beat my unbuffered scores...you doing the test right?
Anyway, i have put the P4-m back in the P4G8X and even with the latest beta bios its still stuck at 200fsb :(
Just saw some benches for springdale...it looks real fast, so we may be all...
I have seen the 8sg667 board at 174fsb and have heard the rev2 would hit 180+ with ease.An Unlocked p4 is the way to test as P4-Ms can be problematic as i have found with the 8INXP where the chip does 200fsb in the P4G8X but 177fsb max in the 8INXP.
cas1.5 isn't really an option...it alters timings in the chipset more than the ram i believe and you will only see a small diference with cas2 usually being faster.Thing is it seems to cause cold boot problems and setting bios default to 2.5 usually cures it.I have the same problem with the...
At default the bios tries to set cas1.5 at boot.i have altered this so at boot the bios sets cas2.5 with setup then applying your changes from cmos.this is what i changed to help mikki with his cold boot problem.
