    To everyone who kindly offered their suggestions I got the problem fixed. Remember that I could burn at 2x on CD-RW this makes no sense. I purchased a CD-ROM cleaner kit and cleaned my writer twice. It is now burning at max. speed.

    How do you mean make an "ISO" image. PS I have defragged, removed all programs that are no longer necessary.

    Help! Reformatting doesn't fix it

    Run a thorough scandisk on your hard drive. I have a hard drive with one bad sector near the begining. Win 95 installs great but WIn98 will not install at all.
