After doing some more research I realized that I forgot to check clear CMOS. After that it reflashed. Good luck with the MSI.

My new Corsair twinx memory came today so I will see if that works. If not then I may try it with just one mem stick in. A guy tried that when he couldn't get his asus to flash. Will keep you updated.

Did you ever get it to work? I just got this over the weekend and got an AMD X2. I wanted to update to 1.1a since it has dual core support. But it just gave the "can't find RAM" long beeps. I did the top hat flash and went to 1.0f, but I'd really like to have support for my processor.
