    I Want To Upgrade My HD.....But I Don't know If I Can..

Sorry, perhaps I misspoke. I meant, boot the computer, then when the desktop loads, put in the CD, then load the program. Then connect the other HD, tell the program to copy the files to Drive #: or whatever it will show up as, and when it's done, simply shut down, remove the battery, swap...

    Bad Battery...Or Worse?

For what it's worth, my old Dell Inspiron battery is 7 years old, and it holds a charge just a couple minutes shorter than this one. How sad is that? @Elena, Nothing questionable in the connector, someone told me the adaptor itself may be going bad and not allowing enough current to go...

    I Want To Upgrade My HD.....But I Don't know If I Can..

This still all sounds a bit difficult for me. I've never copied HD's before (obviously) so I wonder if it would be easier for me to skip that transfer stage altogether? Basically, if I went and bought a new HD (I would have to buy a full version of 7, correct?) and did not transfer anything...

    I Want To Upgrade My HD.....But I Don't know If I Can..

The RAM will be upgraded. Unfortunately, 2GB is the limit, as that is all the motherboard will support. I appreciate your recommendation on the HD, but that is a very new product, and I'd like to see how it holds up. It's also quite expensive, compared to similar 500GB hard drives. My thing...

Issues Playing GTA: San Andreas on Compaq Presario

It's a whole lot better than Liberty City though. Guys, when I try to go into the BIOS, it asks me for the password. I have no idea what it is. The computer doesn't have a password, I never set one up, since I'm the only one who ever uses it. Vista takes long enough to load as it...

    I Want To Upgrade My HD.....But I Don't know If I Can..

This is on my Compaq Presario F730US. It currently has an (original) 120GB HD installed, which (although it is 10x bigger than the one on my previous laptop) is still a bit small, compared to todays standards. What, with all the 500GB, 1TB, 1.5TB, and 2+TB models out there. Does anyone know...

Issues Playing GTA: San Andreas on Compaq Presario

How do I go into BIOS and do that? It seems to be playing fine, and the OS shows the card I have installed supports 288MB Max video RAM. SO I'm guessing it's 256MB total, with a "surge" o something up to 288.

    Bad Battery...Or Worse?

This involves my 2008 Compaq Presario F730US laptop. Recently, the battery would charge, and, sometimes, it wouldn't. When I plug it in, it will say something like "Battery: 11%. Plugged in, not charging." Of course, that worries me, so I'll run the HP Computer Check thing, and tell it...

Issues Playing GTA: San Andreas on Compaq Presario

Well, GTA: San Andreas came out nearly 6 years ago, so that works out perfect! :D (Sorry, had to) what is an "onboard" chip? I thought they all were? I had the Visual FX set to Very High, and the resolution set to 1200x800. Cranked it down to the minimum, 800x600, and toned back...

Issues Playing GTA: San Andreas on Compaq Presario

Hi everyone, I have a laptop that is around 2 years old now, a Compaq Presario F730US. 1 GB of RAM, 120GB HD, Vista Home Premium, 256MB NVidia GeForce 6100 graphics card, 1.8GHz processor, etc. My problem is, when I go to play GTA: San Andreas, most of the time, the gameplay goes...
