    Power cable wire thermal capacity

Yeah those things get crazy hot. They can range up over the boiling temperature of water.

    Power cable wire thermal capacity

::update:: So I couldn't find any zip ties that were long enough while still fitting in between the fins... actually even the tiny ones didn't really fit either..... and I hadn't gotten any CPU cable since I had decided against using it. And of course due to poor planning I had my motherboard...

    Power cable wire thermal capacity

I knew there would be some good answers around here heh. I never bothered to actually look at a PSU since I didn't have one on hand that isn't in use. I was just messing with the cables in a 6 to 4 pin adapter I had sitting around. I should be mounting this thing tomorrow and I think I have...

    Power cable wire thermal capacity

Planning on making a simple support for a heavy heatsink in an upright case. I've been trying to come up with the best way to tie it to a steel support beam in the top of my case and I noticed there is an opening along the 12 heat pipes that runs down through the entire heatsink. Your...

    Power cable wire thermal capacity

I wasn't sure what thread to put this in.... actually I'm not even sure I should be asking at Anandtech heh, but I thought I'd check in-case anyone around here knows. I'm sure there are some modders around who have some electrician knowledge. I'm trying to find out what kind of heat ... I...

Because I already have these. :-)

Thermaltake A2029 vs. Scythe S-Flex Ultra

I currently have 3 120mm Thermaltake A2029 in my case. Intake, exhaust and Heatsink. I'm also working with an Xclio Windtunnel so there are two 250mm sidewall fans as well. I just ordered a new Thermalright TRUE Copper to toss in my rig (which will be anchored to the case frame around the PSU...

    simple temp. question

That's the thread that caused me to come ask at Anandtech in the first place. I've always been told CORE temp is the one to be concerned with. They said the CPU temp in that thread. Yet it wasn't a uniform answer there, someone said CORE instead. Even the OP in that topic is clearly never...

    simple temp. question

I have a constant temp display from Everest in my taskbar and on my keyboard LCD. But that still doesn't answer whether the max for the core or the cpu temp is the one I should be concerned with based on the numbers AMD offers as "max safe temp. range."

Is my motherboard compatible with Phenom II ?

PII X4 940 running well with a ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe here. Required a BIOS update that released a couple weeks before the new chips. (on a side note my 4 sticks of 1066 run wonderfully on it as well despite what the manual says heh)

    simple temp. question

Although despite being a simple question I've been hearing different answers. So I thought I'd bring it here. As I understand AMDs max temp for a Phenom II X4 940 is 63c. However people don't seem to agree whether that is the CPU temp or Core temp. and I see something like a 10 degree...

    Swapping one RAID for another

Thanx for the input. It was the Marvel onboard RAID on my M3A32-MVP Deluxe. I'm hoping they get back to me quickly, but from looking around their forums it sounds like they have a two to three week backlog on these things before they even get started. I doubt I can go a month with no computer...
