Zap thanks for the reply. I will pull off the heatsink and check the CPU markings but I'll have to grab some compound first. I'll let you know what it says as soon as its done. Thanks for the advice. And no the PSU did not come with the case, I got the case from a friend blah blah blah and I...
To start off this is a continuation of an old topic that was briefly discussed here:

I'm going to begin where the last post left off which was asking for detailed parts of my system. Basically I'm having...
Hey everyone
Back again just checking if anyone had ne new ideas about my mobo problems. nothing new on this end but please let me know of anything else i can try. do you think perhaps a hardware problem?
I tried to post last night but I guess it did not go through. My computer was running at the proper speed when set to 166 MHz but the computer crashed multiple times after that. It just randomly reboots, seemingly when I open programs etc which sounds like its either when the CPU gets going or...
OK...update:
I changed the settings in the BIOS by entering "expert settings" and the FSB and RAM are now both set to 166. The CPU is now reporting full speed, but it says the memory is running at 333MHz. Is this the proper setting? I thought both would be running at 400 MHz once the...
OK....I'm going to give that a shot now. the last time I changed the FSB to 166 and thats when the system crashed but perhaps thats because the memory was set different. Thanks for everyones help, I'll let you know how it goes

Specification : AMD Athlon XP 2000+ (this is incorrect though, the chip is a 2600+)
FSB : 133
Bus Speed : 266...
Sorry, I thought the title was a little more clear. I was sort of rushing the thread. But its a Shuttle AN35/N-400 (I believe its the N-400. I know its an AN35 and it supports 400MHz FSB) Please let me know if you need any other information. Id really like to figure this out. I also know...
So I've been having this problem for a while now and at first I thought it was an OS problem (which I delayed months to reformat because of the time it takes) BUT...finally I reformated and it is still giving me the problem. So its not the OS. I have an XP 2600+ and I have 512 MB of RAM (3200 I...
