Airbag for cyclists: New inflatable collar protects riders who refuse to wear helmet

Perhaps it got a new thread with all the recent hoopla but since the question was asked way back when - http://www.hovding.com/en/

    Google contacts

Google contacts really needs tags instead of groups. What I'd like to do is send an email to a subset of the group that I have saved under a physical location. (eg Running partners in San Diego) With the current setup, I would need a separate group for that and duplicate all the Runners...

Why is so difficult to find a dependable RSS reader?

Opera eh? It'd be great to hear more about your setup and what you do and don't like about it.

Why is so difficult to find a dependable RSS reader?

Perhaps, though I haven't had too many problems so far. I am not tied to it being an RSS reader if there was some other way to organize commonly read sites by subject/tags in a single dashboard style interface with headlines of the articles at minimum.

Why is so difficult to find a dependable RSS reader?

It seems nearly impossible to find decent software to follow one's most commonly read sites, organize them in folders and with tags, share them to a social network if need be, or push them to a service like Readability or Instapaper that make them a lot simpler to view. Everything seems to...

    Gephi

Anyone use it? I'd like to try mapping out some of the people I know in different fields to have a handy way of knowing who to reach out to and connect. Seems like cool software for a number of things but I have no idea how to use it. Anyone know of a good guide for beginners? Their...

SSD owners, post your write usage!

Not sure how accurate it is but using SSDLife Pro, I get est. life of 9 years. So far, with little use it is showing 0.6GB written/0.2GB read just today with 42GB/54GB total write/read. Sure that has been reset after I did a secure erase? I have been using this drive for about 2 years and it...

SSD owners, post your write usage!

Hi, Can someone help me interpret this? I am trying to optimize what I install on the small SSD since it is about half full (16Gb/30Gb used) with Win7 and updates. I want to know if I should worry about moving things like temp files and firefox/chrome caches onto my storage HDD. I believe...

Sudden AHCI problem with Gigabyte motherboard

Here is where I am, really hoping this isn't a hardware problem. Playing with settings in the Integrated Peripherals section of the BIOS. Changing to: SATA RAID/AHCI Mode - AHCI SATA Port0-3 Native Mode - Disabled allowed me to boot from optical drive with old vista disc. Anyone have this...

Sudden AHCI problem with Gigabyte motherboard

Ok so I updated firmware (destructive flash to 1.7 which did a sanitary erase) and now can get past the AHCI driver part in the BIOS but I am getting an error as it tries to boot from the Windows install dvd "Disk Boot Failure, Insert System Disk and Press Enter"

Sudden AHCI problem with Gigabyte motherboard

I'm not trying to keep bumping this but do want to share what I find as I explore this problem. Hopefully it can be useful to someone else experiencing the same issue. My problem is quite similar to what is being described here -...

Sudden AHCI problem with Gigabyte motherboard

I should add that I have read in the manual about making a SATA/RAID/AHCI driver diskette. However, I have installed windows at least 3 other times and never had any issue using the SSD in AHCI mode.

Sudden AHCI problem with Gigabyte motherboard

I recently did a reinstall of Windows 7 on my SSD (C) and connected my data hdd (D) and everything worked fine. I proceeded to try one of the popular methods to move the entire C\Users directory to D but that gave me an issue when trying to log in to Windows after reboot since my profile could...
