XP Home Edition. Downloaded a cnet.com program setup file (exe) compatible with XP. Upon execution, get message "not a valid win32 application". File appears to have downloaded successfully. Am logged on as Administrator. Running AVAST 5.0.
Any suggestions on how to correct error...
Installed a third party utility program and I am now receiving Blue Screen Registry error: "Can't load file: \SystemRoot\System32\Config\Software, log or alternative".
(Lesson learned).

I am running AVG 7.5 antivirus program, as well as Spywareblaster on a single-user PC. Should I also be running ZoneAlarm or similar program to further protect my computer?
