Gah, I was already excited that maybe it was this all along but I tried and I tried and got no result. A great find nevertheless, I hope people can use it.

My old box had a Sempron 3000+ (Socket754), 1GB of DDR400 and a Radeon 9700 Pro. The PSU on that box got fried and apparently took out the motherboard with it. After checking which parts were still functional (the ram, video card and cpu), I decided to upgrade a bit and bought a Core 2 Duo E6300...
