    I own both Cannon G2 and Nikon 995. I compaired them. I think the photo quality of 995 is a little better than that of g2, although 995 is just a 3M pix DC. But the construction of G2 is better than 995, and I think Nikon takes some ideas from g2 in making nikon5000. And of course G2's battery...
