my operating system ceased to work, so i installed a seperate Os on the same Hdd, and i still have a bunch of programs on the win2k OS, but the wont let me run them from the new XP os. is there some sort of way, or utility for doing this? -thanks. mike.

yeah, and i also tried the Fn>f5 comand for switching displays, both screens flickered then the system crashed... i think.. it wasnt responding.

i got them from the compaq site, and they installed fine.. and evrything seems like its working on the crt, but still getting problems using just the lcd.

my pre-made, compaq presario 2110 laptop was getting really messed up and it needed a reinstall, but it didnt come with the cd to reinstall xp.. so i formated and installed win2k. the first thing i noticed is the lcd screen only showed a small square in the middle of the screen as viewable...

these episodes costs millions each...not that easy to just bring em back.
