    150 GB Raptor en route?

Actually it was already available at Newegg and then sold out.

    BH-6 voltages

With active cooling(1 or 2 80mm fans), can BH-6 live for a fairly lengthy time at 3.1-3.2v?

Switching SATA HDD from mobo to PCI

I didn't realize such a simple question would turn into an argument. Anyway.... On the MSI K8N Neo Platinum, SATA 3&4 are run off the chipset, whereas 1&2 are run off a seperate Marvell chip, which is NOT locked. A 5mhz overclock will cause the disk(s) on 1&2 to go undetected and...

Who is your favorite case manufacturer?

I've got 2 Antec's, but Lian Li is good as it gets. The PC75B has been calling my name for some time now, but between the price and the depth of the table I set my case on not being long enough....I've yet to grab one.

    How fast does NewEgg ship?

I always use standard shipping and skip on the "rush order" option, and it's never taken more than 3 days from time of order for it to hit my doorstep...most often just 2 days.

Switching SATA HDD from mobo to PCI

Just trust me, I've done my research on this. You haven't heard about it because not many people have 3 SATA hard drives on an Nforce3 chipset. Unfortunately I can't do research on swapping a drive from board to card because that information is hard to find, hence my asking here.

    LoL at Alienware

I actually have friends and family that tell me I'm insane to build my own computers...that buying a prebuilt from Best Buy is without question the best way to go. What they don't realize is I've put together a top of the line gaming system that cost roughly as much as their Dell/HP/Compaq that...

Switching SATA HDD from mobo to PCI

The PCI bus on Nforce3 is locked, it's the 1 & 2 serial ports that aren't. With the storage drive connected I'm limited to 205, without I've had it to 225.

Switching SATA HDD from mobo to PCI

I'm going to buy a Promise PCI to SATA card to switch my storage hard drive off the motherboard so my overclocks won't be limited. But before I do so, I want to make sure that this won't require reformatting of the disk or any other issues. Is it essentially a seamless transition?

    cnps7000a install on msi k8n neo2

Turn the board over, take a screwdriver and gently pry on each side of the backplate until it comes off. Don't try popping it off in one quick shot or you'll crack the board. Stick the Zalman-supplied backplate on just as the stock plate was, and then screw the nipples into the backplate from...

    Anti-Static precautions when building system?

Anytime I'm building one I do it on a linoleum or tile floor with shoes on, the cord plugged into the power supply. But I'm always tinkering around inside the case, removing parts and whatnot on a carpet floor with socks on and haven't fried anything.

    Power supply decisions

How about this Enermax? http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/psu-04.html I know the price is a tad inflated, but they've got free sleeving, and I figure after the cost and time it'd take to sleeve it myself it just about evens out.

i heard alot of problems about maxtor in the forums

Ditto. I've had 2 of them in my rig and an ancient model in another system that's been running for almost 7 years...no problems whatsoever.

    Power supply decisions

Well, I wouldn't say it's mission critical, but obviously, as with most people, stability is priority #1. I'd just much rather spend the cash now on the best, rather than regret it at some point. I won't go into a drawn out list of specs, but I've got nearly a grand wrapped up in CPU/GPU alone...

    Power supply decisions

Do you folks feel the quality and reliability of the PCP&C 510's are worth splurging for? If so, keeping in mind that I do not have nor plan to buy a PCI-E video card within the next year, which is the more future-proof way to go, the Deluxe or Express? I've got a lot of expensive hardware...
