    XP doing a Netscape???

I just tried out Win XP on my friend's PC. Seems, everytime a program crashes and shuts down, a dialog box prompts you to send a feedback to Microsoft! Reminds me of Netscape 4.7x ..... it's very irriating!

CD-R corruption in win2k! Help Please!

Thanks for your help, people. But sadly, none of your solutions work. Because I tested my CDs on a machine that came with a brand new CD-ROM drive. It has no CD-RW drive. Thus no Easy Creator installed. The CD-ROM drive is definitely compartitable with Win2k. Afterall I installed stuffs on Win2k...

Does dual boot system take a performance hit?

I have a machine running dual boot of Win98 and Win2k. Basically, I have 2 harddisks. The one connected to the Primary IDE Master(C drive) runs Win98. The one connected to the Secondary IDE Master (D drive) runs Win2k. My question is does the drive on a secondary IDE take a performance hit...

CD-R corruption in win2k! Help Please!

I will Easy CD Creator 4.03. The thing is, a CD is READ-ONLY right? So if it works in Windows 98, why doesn't it work in Windows 2000 (using the same CD-ROM drive!) Unless Easy CD Creator works some stuff on the CD that makes it unacceptable in Windows 2000? That's kind of weird. If I am not...

CD-R corruption in win2k! Help Please!

Man! I know this sounds weird! I'm feeling smoked, win2k is on crack or something! Problem: I have lots of CD-Rs with data inside (of course). I swear those CD-Rs are working, cause I always test them after burning them. Pop them into the CD drive. Tried to open a file, and win2k gives me an...

Would you buy a GTS 32meg or Radeon 64meg for the following

I'm thinking of buying a Radeon too. Still can't make up my mind becos of the problems Radeon users are apparently having. I want a card that I need not TROUBLE-SHOOT it! Personally, (call me dumb) as a Com Sci student, I find it a chore and a quite an uphill task to trouble-shoot hardware! Hmm...

3D Games taxes the GPU, 3D applications taxes ???

Thanks for the insight (to 3D apps!) Just a trivia question. Does it make a difference between (consumer VGA cards) like Radeon and GeForce2 for 3D apps?

Disappointed by Ati AIW Radion32 DDR horid software and no support for good ones-- UPDATE!! Read this Thread!! I changed my Mind!!! OH Boy Oh Boy!!!

This is becoming like the thread with the most juice! I have not digested it yet. I just want to have a quick overview, cos I'm planning to get a new VGA card myself. So, is Radeon horrid? And, will it be a Radeon 64DDR VIVO or Asus V7700 Deluxe 64DDR VIVO (which is better)? :)

3D Games taxes the GPU, 3D applications taxes ???

I'm new at this. Well, it's proven that running 3D games make use of the GPU's power more than the CPU. Thus, getting a high-powered GPU to couple with the (mid-to-high end CPU) makes better sense than a fast CPU but slow VGA card. Now, what about 3D applications like 3D Studio Max or...

Any of you have inside info on when the next Radeon (either SE or Radeon 2) will be out? It's been more than 6 months since Radeon has been out.

What's the primary diff bet Radeon and Radeon AIW?

What is the primary difference between ATI's Radeon and Radeon AIW? I think the Radeon also has Video In/Out right? The Radeon can record shows (from TV/VCR) to PC and surf the Internet on TV too right?

AIW or VIVO for video capture?

Hey! I'm also looking for such a card. What brands are available? ATI's Radeon AIW seems to have the package I want - TV in/out, TV tuner. video editing. Meaning, I can watch TV on my PC, record some shows on my PC and also surf the internet on my TV. Am I right? However, reading Tom's hardware...

    Nvidia GeForce 3 vs ???

<< 3D rendering cards are not good at one thing 'gaming' cards do well and thats textures. >> << Its probably the strongest point of all the 3d gaming cards out there and even though the Oxygen cards are very powerful for scene rendering its not fast enough for 3D gaming. >> So that is...
