Does the HP L2335 (HP 23" LCD) have backlight control?

Thanks.. thats good to know. I am beginning to realize there really aren't too many desktop LCDs with an adjustable backlight which is a pity. Regards, Artuk

My understanding is that ASUS will be releasing an OEM part while BFG will have the only retail part in the near term. Artuk

Does the HP L2335 (HP 23" LCD) have backlight control?

Hi, A critical feature for me that Dell, sadly, never includes is adjustable backlight brightness. Can anyone with the HP L2335 tell me if that has an adjustable backlight so I dont roast my eyes out of their sockets when working in a dimly lit room? Thanks! Artuk

    Noise level of 7900gtx?

Thanks.. Since posting this I read a review on firing squad to that effect.. and that it was very quiet. However, part of the air is vented in the case which is not something i am fond of. Oh well, a little late for me now to be worried about it. Artuk

    7900 vs 1900

ATI increased the z-buffer size so that it would perform better with 1900x1200 monitors. I am not sure where Nvidia is on this. Apparently it was a serious performance issue in the past with ultra-high resolutions. Artuk

    Noise level of 7900gtx?

I have read a lot of reviews today but none have had any info about the relative noise level of the 7900gtx vs x1900xt.. anyone come across anything one way or the other on the web? My x1900xt isnt terrible, but I am looking at a water cooling aternative to keep it quiet.. Artuk

Dell 2007 FPW specs are out

I wonder if they allow you to turn down the backlight yet? I returned the previous 20" model because of that missing feature. Artuk

Dell new 20" wide LCD 2005FPW. Has anyone seen this beast?

R3MF, At work I use a laptop with a 17" widescreen LCD and a 17"CRT (with about 15-16" viewable). The lap is 1440x900, the crt is 1024x768. It works prettty nice.. the nvidia software I use on the laptop puts the tops together, so if I want to move the mouse over to the other monitor it has...

    Dell 2005FPW........ghosting.

Yes to Native.. I have some experience with WoW in WS since I play it on my 17 WXGA+ Laptop too, that experience is what prompted me to buy the LCD screen. In Ogrimarr I am getting 30-45 fps, elsewhere I get 59-60 (vsynch enabled), in PVP 25-30. I have an X800XL so performance shouldnt be an...

    Dell 2005FPW........ghosting.

There is definitely motion blur with the 2005 when I spin around in WoW. I am still trying to decide to what degree I can tolerate it. When I am paying attention to it, it bugs me. However, I spent 2hr in Alterac Valley fighting, didnt notice it at all when I was actually gaming rather then...

    2405 too big?

My 2 cents.. wide screen can seem smaller then a 4:3 monitor of the same measurement. I think you will find that a 24" WS doesnt feel much bigger then a 21" CRT. I just got the 20" Dell WS, it definitely looks smaller then the 21" CRT sitting next to it despite having identical viewable area...

    widescreen monitors bad for gaming?

Hi, I got a laptop this year with a WXGA+ screen (1440x900) and started using it to play WoW and DAoC at friend's houses. At first the widescreen felt a little off, but once I got used to it I always felt constrained by the field of view presented by my 21" viewsonic CRT. When my girlfirend...
