Happy with the 10 USD jms580.
If I remember well
Usb 3.1 Gen 2 560mb/s
Usb 3.1 Gen 1 460mb/s or was it 480mb/s
If you flash with any firmware remember to save current firmware first.
You can always hard reset if it does not work or bricked. There is a thread in this topic.
My understanding is...
Ok thanks for your reply. I thought there is a different firmware backup/update utility that I have not tested.
I have seen manufacturers change.the original chip firmware by modifying.the first group number. I believe both Should be the same. Thanks for making your firmware available. More...
I guess the firmware for jms580 I posted in an older thread was 1.0.5. corrected thread above. Fw was posted in thread 414. Tested after saving fw 1.0.5 bricking with fw 2.0.9 and then using hard reset to recover with saved stock firmware. Fw from jms583 is not compatible.
Not sure if it was 1.0.5 or 2.0.5. actually for jms580 I made a backup and uploaded firmware in a thread above. GF
If I remember well it was 1.0.5.
2.0.5 was offered for JMS583.

@Super Spartan Rtl9210 or jms583?? Could not find this info. Reviews not so helpful. No tech information is rubbish info. :) My opinion or my 2 cents if you live in the States .
Marketing. ... Only. No difference.
Technically this is the spec of each irrespective of newer or older names. I don't give emphasis on newer names because it is marketing.
5gbps
10gbps
20gbps

Jms583 has.many firmware updates. Problem free is V2.0.9.
Rtl9210 firmware still is not final. Still problem with safely remove hardware which does not power off device. Still...
@Josh68
Please read the Info under link on my previous reply to you. He said that he has successfully updated firmware of m2x using second link firmware. Try it if you wish.
But yours is a dual sata/nvme hardware. Don't believe that this firmware has dual sata/nvme support... I could be wrong. Can one confirm and if true do we have a compatible firmware?? Do you have sata or nvme installed???
