    Kingston.com shows that both Dell-Inspiron 4100 and 8100 use the same type of memory.

    Cold: 512mb pc133 sdram $55 after MIR @ BestBuy

    :( It has 8 chips on each side with no identifiable manufacturer's logo. Not a good sign. All it says on the chips is 64Mx4 SDRAM-8-T. It's 8 ns! (7.5 for typical PC133 CL3). Can't do 133 CL3 on my ASUS TUSI-M (SiS630ET), although it's ok at 100 MHz. Only regconized as 256 MB on my ASUS...
