so earlier today i was surfing the web and my computer decides to randomly turn off. i'm thinking okay, no big deal, i'll just turn it back on again. anyway, i go to turn my computer on again and all the lights come on, but about 5 seconds later it shuts off again. if i try to turn it back on...
just put a new computer together with the msi k8n neo4 platinum mobo. everything else seems to work fine except the onboard sound. i tried to install the realtek 97 drivers and the nvidia drivers, nothing seems to work. anything else i can do?

if i bought this ram and ran it in single channel, would i notice a significant difference?
is this creating a huge bottleneck? i've got like $150 to spend and i dunno which to upgrade. my motherboard so i can run the ram in dual channel, or buy 1gb of pc-3200 and let the chip run in single channel. which would be more beneficial?
i have 2 256 sticks of pc-2700 and that's exactly how it's running right now. i don't think my motherboard does dual channeling because the 2 sticks i have are the exact same thing. would this be a good upgrade for me to do and still give me a significant performance boost...

the fan's rpm is at 2500. it's a stock heatsink for a p4 3 ghz cpu. earlier my cpu was running at 90 degrees celsius, according to my mobo. now it's supposedly running at 30. i thought stock fan's rpm should be around 4200-4800 rpm?
