Interesting thing to consider when overclocking a quad

yep my buddy and i both used ip35 pro's on our new builds last weekend and his heat pipe was bent a decent amount, which caused the northbridge heatsink to not sit completely flat. since he wasnt really overclocking a lot (400fsb) or anything and the thermal pad deal was still bridging the gap...

My Abit IP35 -Pro Bearlake Review

i'm just curious.. what would you guys say is about the cut off level (fsb/vcore/etc) for overclocking on the ip35 pro where it really starts to shorten the life of the board a lot? originally i was only planning on running my 6850 around 400 fsb (where it is now) due to the desire to not stress...

    best 22 inch lcd

the lg is black also, its just a flat black vs the samsung's glossy bezel. however the stand itself on the lg is a glossy black. after having used both for an extensive period of time, i think they are both great values around $300 (on rebate or sale/free shipping) for general computer usage...

My Abit IP35 -Pro Bearlake Review

so is there any way to shut off the bright red led by the main power connector on the ip35 pro? i havent finished the build yet (os install/etc), but that and the post reporter deal are pretty bright... maybe i'm just not used to having them.

    Hmm... 8600GT for $85 or 8800GTS320 for $225

i hope for my sake that the part about the 9800gts not showing up until feb 2008 isnt true... the rest of my parts arrive tomorrow and i will finally be upgrading this weekend from my old a64 3500+ to a c2d e6850. i had planned on just holding on to my 7800gt until the 9800's came out (hoping...

    [Retired] The LCD Thread

thanks for the reply. i am going to go take a look @ the 226bw and the 226wtq in my local big box store some time this week. actually the lg i see available online now is the 226wty ...it looks to be the same thing. as far as the stand adjustment, my plan was basically to buy something like...

    [Retired] The LCD Thread

xtknight just to followup, i've got it down to the L226 and the 226BW and after some more extensive use (@ a friends) and reading online.... you were right the 22" is the way to go over the 20.1". i also think the newer/better TN's will be just fine for my needs. now if i can just get past the...

UPDATE: I pull the trigger on the LG 226WT

i'm gonna have to check out these high gamut monitors...... so other than the high gamut, they will be exactly the same and have the low response time/no major ghosting? i know the original conclusion of this thread in april was to avoid the wtq, and now you're telling me the new wty is the...
