you guys were right, i can only use the front and not the rear. kinda annoying that I only have that option, was hoping i could had the speakers plugged in and if i wanted to use headphones i could just plug those in and the speakers would shut off.
i plugged the headphones in the front and they worked there, then i plugged them into the back where the speakers were plugged in and they didnt work there.
I just build this system last night at a friends house. Vista 32bit, 4g ram 4850, 540g hd.
My heatset works perfectly fine but my speakers wont work at all, I have the line in from the sub plugged into the line out but no go.
Im wondering if this is the case, according to my friend. In order to install anything on my new HD i would have to boot into dos and run fdisk in initialize the drive.
I decided against the server and stick to Vista. However, im wondering if i should go with 32 or 64. Iv read on some review sites that even with4g of ram you should just use 32 because it still seems to be overall faster for gaming and certain other things. What do you guys think?
My friend told me I should get server 2003 instead of Vista 64. Im not sure what to do honestly. anyone have any suggestions? My new computer is
4g ddr2 ram
hd4850
640g hd
22 inch acer lcd monitor
I just got this monitor, and for some reason I thought id be able to plug my wii into it. I know I can buy a DVI adapter so ill be able to plug the video cable into it, but what about speakers? would I be able to do anything there?

9800gtx+ is 200 too, so thats kinda tough. If i was to go with a 4850 it would be the visiontek one as they have a lfietime warranty and i hear there CS is good. The visiontek 4850 is 169 after 20 MR
