One thing I forgot to mention earlier I'm using mac OSX.1 I've been told that the 8mb cache would give me basically no performance increase and is basically a stupid tax. does anyone have non-WD benchmarks showing otherwise?

Hello, I am in need of a semi-mass storage hard drive (~100 Gig) and I was wondering what the people who actually know would suggest to me? Right now I'm looking at the WD Caviar drive. I want reliability (duh) and good old fashioned high transfer rate. Any advice?
