well i enabled netbeui and i download SP2.. seems like my machine IS faster now.. but we'll see if it all sticks.. thanks everyone!

heh.. well i swear that that installation wasn't there a second ago... well, i've done that and it's done. so now that i'm a proven idiot yer gonna have to explain to me in more detail about how to use netbeui instead of tcp/ip. i'm searching around trying to find out how right now... thanks.
