Gunrunner that is all fine and dandy but problem is that when file sharing the packets dont access the router they find the shortest path to the other computer which doesnt invovle going through the router.
jackmds. there are ways to do it without touching the client systems. what I am tring to...
Gunrunnerjohn I know you can do that but I dont want to turn it off on each computer. The computers are not mine they are just connecting to my network and I want to prevent people from seeing someone elses computer
What I want to do is stop windows machines from seeing other windows machines over the network without having to turn off file sharing on each machine. One way I have heard of doing that is to make it so that when the system pulls a ip address from the dhcp server I assing a different subnet...
I don't remeber off the top of my head but I believe the fastest you can take that system up to is 850mhz. I believe the system is running on a 100mhz fsb.
I have done laptop repair for awhile and one thing to check also is if the ac port is busted. QUick test of that is see how much wiggle the ac port has with the power brick plugged into it. You should havbe almost no wiggle in it. IF it is extremly wiggly the you need to resoder or replace the...

You can get around the bios specific easy but its not going to do much good since xp is licensed to the system and the xp is a oem version most likely. When you try to activate it you will have to call in and MS will tell you you cant activate it (or at least they should. If you get someone who...
