Well crazy thing...I removed the battery for ten minutes and it was still broken. Then I ended up reseting the BIOS and it worked. Boy am I happy...that's another 130 bucks I don't have to spend. Then again now I'll have to find some other excuse for upgrading :). Thanks again.
For the life of me I have no idea why it let me. For some dumb reason I assumed it might have been o.k. to lower the multiplier as long as you don't increase it. But anyhow I took the battery out for five minutes with the power unplugged and it still won't boot up. I'd assume it's a hardware...
Well I believe I made a dumb move. I was trying to underclock my Athlon XP 2000+ on an Biostar M7NCD Pro Nforce2 Ultra motherboard. I went into the BIOS and lowered the FSB to 100Mhz and at the same time changed the multiplier to 10x instead of the regular 12.5x. I should have know that the...
