Windows Repair option did the trick....for now. I can browse just fine, however, during the repair, I was notified that several files were not found. Hopefully, they will not cause any further issues.

-spybot (clean)
-Norton's full scan (clean)
-cc registry cleaner (clean)
-updated all drivers
