Asus Rampage II Extreme Northbridge (NB) temperatures

I haven't actually got an Asus Rampage II Extreme yet, however, I wondered if anyone out there who *has* experience high Northbridge (NB) temperatures, either at idle or full load when overclocking? I will have Panaflo 120x38mm 86 CFM fan blowing air over video card/NB area from the front of...

Antec P180 Mini w/Asus Rampage Extreme II Gene?

Amazing, it sounds awesome. Could I please trouble you for some photographs? To be honest I like the setup I'm just worried my Prolimatech heatsink won't fit, and also I'd like to use Panaflo 120x120x38 fans front and rear, when I say front I mean by removing the lower hard-drive bay. I'm...

Is the Asus Rampage Extreme II board discontinued?

Just curious, I was considering buying one but obviously don't want to fork out the cash for something that's EOL. Thanks.

Antec P180 Mini w/Asus Rampage Extreme II Gene?

Just curious if anyone out there has an Antec P180 Mini with an Asus Rampage Extreme II Gene motherboard? If possible I'd like to see photographs showing the inside of the system, drives, PSU area, etc. I'm thinking of building a system using these parts but unsure if I'll have enough space...

Opinion on the Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme 1366RT heatsink

I'm considering changing my Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 for a Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme 1366RT, hoping that with its six heatpipes versus Noctua's four, that it will reduce temperatures slightly. Has anyone got this heatsink, just wondered what you think of it? I suppose the only negatives...

    Requesting temperatures/settings for Core i7 920 @ 3.6 GHz

I think they are high, especially when I read of people reaching 3.8 GHz with 10 degrees cooler. I'd like to try and reduce the temperatures but unsure what I should start with.

    Requesting temperatures/settings for Core i7 920 @ 3.6 GHz

The ambient room temperature is 80 degrees.

    Requesting temperatures/settings for Core i7 920 @ 3.6 GHz

    I have an Asus P6T Deluxe V2, Core i7 920 (@ 3.6 GHz), Noctua U12P SE1366 w/Scythe SFF21G and 12GB of Corsair Dominator C8. My settings are CPU Ratio = 18, BCLK = 200, CPU Voltage = 1.25, QPI/DRAM Voltage = 1.23, HT = Enabled and Speedstep = Disabled. Running LinX on 100 passes, load temperature...

    Overclock of i7 920 @ 3.6 GHz = 95 degrees?!

Well I re-seated the heatsink, applied a line method of compound to the CPU (explain later), and now with my Scythe SFF21G fan I'm getting a maximum of 77 degrees F. I did try the 4mm blob method on my Noctua heatsink and Intel CPU, problem was after expirementing, the heatsink tended to...

    Overclock of i7 920 @ 3.6 GHz = 95 degrees?!

Well I tried another run, this time using LinX at 9:30 AM in the morning here, this time I get 77 degrees, still at 3.6 GHz, the ambient is 75F (although the room feels cooler than that). I'm wondering if I should bother re-applying the compound to get it as "lean" as possible, hoping to see a...

    Overclock of i7 920 @ 3.6 GHz = 95 degrees?!

Thanks. I did try setting all the defaults for voltages, etc. in the BIOS, setting the CPU Ratio to Auto and the BCLK (similar to FSB). My idle temperatures, again using Real Temp (downloading OCCT as I type this) are here: Idle temperatures at Stock GHz Load temperatures at Stock GHz...

    Overclock of i7 920 @ 3.6 GHz = 95 degrees?!

I've been overclocking my i7 920 CPU (C0) to 3.6 GHz using a CPU Ratio of 16 and BCLK of 200. When running LinX 20 passes and looking at Real Temp 3.00, my CPU's highest temp reached 95 degrees! Obviously this is too high, but why? If I overclock to 3.4 the highest is 86 degrees and stock 2.6 is...
