Yes, using BIOS v5, deleted only v3 microcode. Using mix of 8 and 4 GB RDIMM ECC (4 of each, total 48G), so there should be no problem.

New EFI driver (without -50mV offset) is strange: was x30 after first reboot, no uCode, new record for 2686 v3. Uncore drops from x30 to x20, and after injecting 039 uCode VMWare driver max multiplier drop to x28‒29, and stay there after cold reboot. 027 uCode does the same. Reverting to driver...

Try to add them to EFI boot partition and avoid BIOS resets and even settings. Working here, so might work for you too.

First, check if your system is not changing drive order. For example, i have a RAID0 array of four SSDs and after every BIOS visit i must add load string to EFI again, or driver will not load after next reboot. (Mine EFI boot partition is fs2).
