Tom's Hardware hypes the Hyundai panel:
Review
I was planning to buy a 17" LCD with the 16ms AU Optronics panel, but TH claims the Hyuandai 20ms panel is actually much better.
Has anyone here got real-life experience with both of these panels? I don't trust Tom's Hard Where very much...
Was the memory also underclocked? If so, it is possible that the NV35 will have a slightly smaller advantage at final clockspeeds (i.e. the core could have 2.3X the fillrate of NV30, but the real-world memory bandwidth could be only 1.9X or something). DDR-I...hm, seems odd.
Tualatin is a good CPU, especially for notebooks ;). However, remember that Tom overclocked it using a 166MHz FSB, and still it couldn't beat a Thunderbird 1333/133 in Q3. A 1.7GHz Palomino with DDR (especially 128-bit DDR) memory is going to destroy any Tualatin (at twice the heat emission...
NV17 (GF3MX) is supposed to be released soon.
Due to the large amount of transistors needed for the Vertex Shader, I don't think the chip itself will be much cheaper than NV20 (it's still 0.15 micron). There's also the legacy DX7 T&L unit.
Performance will be lower though, probably below...
The "internal AGP 6X interface with 1.5GB/s bandwidth" between GPU and SIA (Single Intelligent Arbiter) is cool, but isn't the traffic between GPU and RAM also through this interface? Even if it isn't, I assume that the frame buffer is not divided between the two memory banks, although...
nForce GPU has less bandwidth than a TNT1?

Yes, you can get 25ms (15+10) response time. Look for monitors with a new 17.4" MVA panel from Fujitsu. ViewSonic has a model without digital input; Iiyama has one with DVI-D (+ VGA + S-video) input.
Most newer video cards have DVI-I outputs, whereas most LCD monitors still have DVI-D inputs. Do you need an adapter or is a DVI-D cable sufficient?
BTW, why doesn't anyone mention the issue of LCD response time? Different panels have different response times. MVA panels (from Fujitsu) are...
