You can't get SLI with an intel chipset, you must have the nVidia chipset. For crossfire you must have an ATI chipset. While there is an nVidia SLI chipset available for the Intel platform, I don't believe there is an ATI Crossfire chipset available for Intel at this time.

Definitely use a Voltmeter for verifying the voltage. I have seen some that read as low as 9.8 volts using software, but check out at 12 with a voltmeter. The 6800 likes power. I would suggest a bigger PSU also.

I think you want load balancing between the cards (both card on one network). A bridge is a transfer point between 2 networks. What are you doing that you need that much network bandwidth to your computer?
