videoclone thank you very much for your very detailed and helpful respond. pointing out importance of cpu, ram & hd made me to think twice and i will probably go with p4 3.0 800fsb, 1 gb mushkin ram and 160 gb sata drive. one more time thnx a lot.:camera:

i just got sony dv camcoder (trv70) and at the same time 100gb drive on my thunderbird 800 simply died. i have to build a new machine wich wuld be used a lot for video & photo editing. i'd like to know what would be your choice for hardware and software if you would build a machine for home...
