    OK, BEST 6800gt drivers.

I tried both the 71.84s and the 75.90s and experienced bad graphical performance in World of Warcraft with my 6800gt. So I reverted back to the 66's.

    My wife is a non-believer!

I just put together my first computer a few weeks ago. Hit a few bumps along the way, had to send back a mobo do to incompatability issues with memory, but overall im VERY happy I decided to build my own and not buy prebuilt. Its been a fun learning experience. I even have it over clocked...

Has anyone tried an NV5 on their Leadtek 6800 GT?

People seem to be getting lower temps with them too, which is why I bought it.

Yeah its an add-on, it quiets the thing down and lowers temperatures. Zap: was it pretty easy to install?

Do I need to put thermal grease on the mobo chipset?

Would my arctic silver 5 "TIM" work in this case, or do I need some special kind?

Hopefully the Leadtek and eVGA are similar in that respect :)

Do I need to put thermal grease on the mobo chipset?

Hmm, looking at the fan, it looks like its held on by 2 white plastic stub things with springs around them. The current stock heatsink on there uses the same type of attachment and is very loose, i can bend and push it up and down a bit due to the springs..

I know you can put it on the processor/video card, but does thermal grease go on the motherboard chipset too? mobo: Chaintech vnf4 ultra (Nforce4). edit: by the way the grease is AS5, if that makes a difference.

    Seagate 7200.8 LOUD

The fact that it started off quiet is what makes me really wonder. I might as well RMA it and if the next one is just as loud, oh well.
