My guess is for cleaning purposes... which kind of worries me actually. Reviews on this are that it gets pretty hot. I'm guessing the manufacturer wants you to regularly clean your card's fan to reduce the risk of card failure (or perhaps, worse...).
Anyone here familiar with GAG boot manager?
I've got a nice GAG set-up, dual booting my choice of two different Windows XP loads (one for work, one for personal). GAG is great, if you're not familiar with it... it adds a little menu program to your hard drive's master boot record to let you...
Thanks! It worked...
Clearly, this is just like buying via Steam. I'm gathering you could do this even if you bought a boxed store copy (go to Games in Steam, enter the activation code, download the game, etc.)
Nice deal - about $30 for the game, plus the collector's stuff.

I have a Steam account (and lots of Steam titles).

Still looking for a quieter fan option as well though.
Anyone...

Check...

In the meantime, I seem to have stablized both of the 512MB chips in my system (at 266mhz, alas) by configuring them in as...
Well, there's another weekend shot to hell.
I just bought a Gigabyte 8IK1100 (aka the stripped down 8KNXP). It replaces my Gigabyte 8PE667, which died a slow-but-honorable death.
Trouble is - I was hoping to re-use my two identical Crucial PC2700 CL2.5 333mHz 512MB DDR chips with this new...
