    Should anyone have the same problem, I just solved it: 1) Make sure you have root access 2) Edit the file build.prop to change ro.product_brand from HP to samsung and ro.product_model from HPTouchpad to GT-I9100 3) Reboot

    That is what I told the Ecobee folks also. Remember to be safe the supply must have a loopback to the return that opens when the static pressure exceeds specs. I also applied to the FB forum, thanks for the tip.
