    by the way its a 40 gb maxtor drive, the gay ass floppy provided with the hdd did not work, it would lock up after it scanned my system, and the menu that tells me what the driveblast can do.

    thanks for the manual mday, ill look over that now. About data loss i dunno, he has active virus scanning and run full scans a lot. The latest time he lost his data he was about to run scandisk, ctrl-alt-deleted some programs out, came in next morning the thing was off and would boot, very weird...
