    Replacing Graphics Card

Oh, thanks, good to know! Good news for my brother. He won't have to buy new RAM. Yeah, I never intended to use my old PSU for the new build, it'll just stay in the current computer when I give it to my brother.

    Replacing Graphics Card

Well, what I think I'm going to do is build a new PC, and give my current one to my brother. I talked to him today and he'd be interested in this. I'll use the RAM I have right now in my new build, since I just recently upgraded it, but my brother should be able to get new RAM and a budget...

    Replacing Graphics Card

Oh, okay. Well I'm pretty okay for rebuilding right now, so I think I'll build a new pc and start a new thread to get help doing that. Thanks guys!

    Replacing Graphics Card

Okay, thanks. Makes sense! I'm not sure I can get it to 4.5, but I think I used to clock it at 4.4. What sort of graphics card would you recommend I get to replace my dead one?

    Replacing Graphics Card

I used to overclock it, but stopped after a while because any time my computer crashed it blamed overclock g and turned it off. Why does it make a difference though? Is the rationale that if so haven't I can give myself a boost that way, or that if so have my CPU is that much closer to death?

    Replacing Graphics Card

Hello all. My graphics card just died this morning, and I'd like some help figuring out what I should replace it with, or even if it's just time to build a new PC. My current PC is just over 5 years old, so I'm wondering if I should start over rather than gradually replace everything piece by...

    Graphics Card Dead?

Hi! I think my graphics card has died, but want to make sure I'm not jumping to that conclusion too quickly. My computer crashed while I was playing a game, and when I restarted it I could see the load screen for the BIOS and loading of Windows, but the screen would go black after the windows...

Advice on a Gaming PC Build

Sweet, got it, thanks :) Just need a few days for it to make its way here from Cali now.

Nope, never even knew newegg had them available. I thought they weren't going up for sale until tomorrow.

Advice on a Gaming PC Build

So far, yes :) Without a graphics card it's a little hard to judge, since that really limits what I can do with it. It's mainly just been web browsing and stress testing. I've really enjoyed the fast load of Windows while setting up overclocking. I'm really glad I did this. It's the first time...

Advice on a Gaming PC Build

Here are a couple pictures of the finished system (minus graphics card): Overall I'm pretty happy with how things went. Installing the CPU heatsink was definitely the most confusing part. The system is up and running now, with the CPU overclocked to 4.5ghz. Thanks again for all the...

Advice on a Gaming PC Build

Thanks. I looked it up, and it's pin10, the over current protection pin. Too dangerous to use without it :( I think I'll just live with it instead of RMAing the motherboard though, considering money lost on shipping, time lost waiting, and time lost rebuilding. I still have the two USB 3.0...

Advice on a Gaming PC Build

So I got the last of my parts today (other than the graphics card of course) and have started building my PC. So far it's going well, but one of the pins has broken off of my motherboard's USB3.0 connector. Should USB 3.0 still work with a broken pin, or is this a real problem? Thanks.

Advice on a Gaming PC Build

That's a nice rebate on the Hale82, and the modularity would be nice. Unforutnately, the last of the parts I was waiting on, including the PSU, shipped earlier today, so it's too late for me to change it now. On the bright side, the Antec 1100 has a good cable management system, so that should...
