The worst cpu of all time ever is AMD K6-2 300 MHz. It´s barely stable at 300 MHz. Also, the cyrix and older amd cpu was very very slow.

I am not playing HL2 yet because first I think that no game should use more that 1 gb on my hard disk. Anyone here have see Need For Speed Underground 2? It uses so much space on HD and it also so silly. I prefer Granturismo 2 for PSX. The movies in NFS U2 are the worst.

Just as a complement, I would advice to buy any mobo from Asus, ABit or Gigabyte with Intel chipset. if you are going to use it with a Pentium processor. Just check for compability.

There is just one problem about the this question. If you have to choose between dual channel slower memory of single channel faster memory think about this: 1. A faster memory will help you when you try some overclock. 2. There is also a possibility of upgrade. 512 MB RAM is not that much...

I really like the asus motherboards. They are rock solid stable, have a good lifespam. But I am curios if intel motherboards are not at least as good as the ones from Asus.
