    Scary A64 Temp. Readings (100C+)

Yikes! Initially I had temperature readings of around 50 degrees celcius idle and 60-63 load. However, I took out my heatsink and applied AS5 and put it back on. Then I noticed my temperatures shot up to 100 degrees. Of course I took that off and well- broke a pin. So a week later I order a new...

How should I go about cleaning the thermal pad + AS5 off? (I dabbed on a little bit of AS5 just in case)

    Noob: Athlon 64 2800+

Finally had the experience of building a computer, so far all is okay except I used a HD which already had a OS installed on it (so I'm waiting for my friend to return my Windows XP CD). Now my question is, the "greyish" dry material on the retail Heatsink/Fan thermal compound? I'm asking...
