It should work fine, I guess...
I would also suggest using the Shuttle SG33G5, as it is cheaper and more compact:

Any 45nm CPU and single-slot video card should work just fine...
CPU: I recommend the E2180, which should be overclocked on the stock HSF to ~3.2GHz. To reach the same level of performance using the AMD 5000+ X2, you will need to overclock it to around 4GHz...
$70 - Intel Pentium E2180 Dual-Core Processor...
Damn o_O...Thanks for pointing that out
Well, how about this:
$300 - Antec TruePower Quattro TPQ-1000 1000W Power Supply
______Antec Twelve Hundred Computer Case
Performance wise. 0% difference. The PRO however, should have a better layout, better cooling, better voltage regulation, more BIOS options, better overckability, more ports (as SATA and USB), more features (as RAID)...etc
The E7200 is faster than the 6000+ by only 5%. Definately not worth $150.
If you buy the 6000+ from newegg, you will also get a free game (GRID).
If you aren't willing to play the game, you can use a a coupon (EMCAJAFAF) to knock $10 off
Actually, this is not bad at all for a $250AR build that is intended for surfing the internet and checking e-mails.
But I'll have to admit that the OP will most probably be better off looking for deals on prebuilt desktops.
