Try VIA 4in1 4.37(a) and AGP 4.10 and make sure you've gor DMA enabled for drives. You can enable DMA going to conrol panel>system>hardware>device manager>IDE contollers>primary & secondary. 23.11 should be the best for XP.

75GXP is with troubles, mostly Hungarian series. 60GXP has less troubles. IBM drives are fast but not reliable.

Sony is better and costs more, but Samsung is cheaper and almos as good as Sony. I would prefer Samsung. Trinitons have 2 lines on the screen as I remember.

The best performance/quality 17" would be the Samsung 700NF or 755DF and 19" 900NF or 955DF
