    when/how can I buy haswell w/ GT3e Crystalwell ?

I'd like to buy a system with haswell 4770R, 4950HQ or any other iris pro 5200 graphics haswell CPU... For me it's perfect, Great CPU, with good-enough 3d with very low power and resource use (no need for extra gpu)... my question is what products are they in? I can't find a single one.. I'd...

    MicroCenter Ivy Bridge Prices

    these prices seem more in-line with what I expected given MCs history: i7 3770k $289 i7 3770_ $259 i5 3570k $189 i5 3450_ $159

    MicroCenter Ivy Bridge Prices

the prices quoted would be surprising... if they are correct they would cirtainly be a change of tune from a retailer who typically sells below MAP (minimum advertised price) (and well below newegg and intel's suggested retail price) in-store. It's possible the quoted prices are not the...

2TB HDD to use in RAID5 on Intel ICH10R

i dont think the lack of tler is responsible for your low write performance, what caching do you have enabled? btw i currently have a raid5 array of "green" drives. no problem with perfrmance. also there is a utility to turn on tler on any WD drive.

VERY slow RAID5 on ICH10R with WDC Green series

http://www.alternativerecursion.info/?p=31 that should show you what to expect from properly configured raid5 on ich all the hate from "software" raid is funny, since most people don't need super-high random write performance on their storage array.

E3 Sandy Bridge Xeons @ NewEgg

will these E3's be usable in H67/h61 motherboards? if so can we plug ECC memory into them with the E3?

    sandy bridge UEFI updates?

after so many years the task of upgrading the bios is still a pain on most motherboards, some vendors like intel have simplified the process a bit by providing windows executables, but it should now be possible to auto-upgrade firmware on boot, using the network connection, or at least in the...

Sandy Bridge to get native USB 3.0 support

what this might be about is intel adding a usb3 chip like NEC's to the platform specification... but its unlikely it will be native on the chipset/cpu.

Sandy Bridge to get native USB 3.0 support

    seems unlikely to be true.

    Tough choice: i3-530 or i5-750?

I have the i3, and it's plenty fast for starcraft 2 at that res, save the $100 and use it towards your next computer (with sandy bridge). As someone else mentioned, at that resolution you will need a decent video card, like a 5770. -stephen

    ddr3 on p55/lynnfield?

Yes, crucial is a subsidiary of micron, but crucial makes ram with non-micron ICs (rarely). there seems to be a difference between a micron dimm and a crucial dimm, crucial can put their label and sell any dimm they want, might use micron ICs, might not, might be a micron mfgr'd dimm, might not.
