dfi x48 t2r. i expect all my temps to be higher than the average you see online. cos i live in the tropics. ambient is already 28C.
i just need to know if it is too high. cos i just upgraded from a 2.8C Northwood last week (yes i know its old :P) and idle temps were mid 40s @3.3GHz..
im running my 8500 at 4.35GHz (3.16stock) at 1.33V.
ambient temp is 28'C, idle temp is 54'C, load is ard 65'C. up to 69 on prime.
most importantly im running TRUE120 with >70cfm through it. unlapped.
are my temps too high?
ive run into such a problem before. i have never found a good solution.
though you can probably get your disk to work one way. hook it up to a working system, go into windows and format the 320gb. then put it back into your new system and the windows installer would almost definitely detect...
the 750 can be formatted and used on another pc of mine. i transferred 5gb worth of data onto it.then i took the disk and put it back into my new system, and tried transferring those 5gb of data over to my system disk. worked for maybe 1gb then the copy failed because of a crc error. before long...
its brand new..
it worked for awhile but everytime my system lost power abruptly (hard reset, freeze due to OC), when i rebooted to windows the OS just detected the hard disk as unformatted. after many resets and many quick formats later the hdd finally refused to format.
system is new too.
my sata 750gb western digital just cant be formatted. i intend to use it as a storage disk. my system disk is a 150gb raptor that works just fine. the 750gb however just fails to format in windows or in dos. vista installer indicated that the bios disk controller but not be activated for it...
