I suppose it might be an idea to try and get hold of Win2000 versions of drivers for your hardware before you upgrade, just in case you can't get your modem working in Win2000 ;)

I have ADI's 17inch model of that series, the G710, and I have no
complaints. The screen is so flat that I could swear it curves inwards slighty :)
