Actually, there is nothing wrong with OP`s point.
Newsgroups, IRC all work fine as a social gathering point, but some web programmer always comes up with a new fad with bells, whistles, ads and spam ......and the world thinks they invented sliced bread.
I can only speak for the Blackberry. The music gets stored and refreshed when it`s connected by USB/PC (to the phones media card)...for me, overnight while charging.
I can choose to stream .....or play cached stations when I start the app.
I forgot to add...it`s free.
Slacker is the best option because it stores the music in the phone, so it`s does not matter if the network or WiFi is slow.
I use it with a Blackberry.
Google Voice should go live soon....yeah right......waiting.
I have a Grand Central account too, but I don`t see any way to send invites.
Try Brring.com ...they are limited tho.
