I just got my "Christmas Bonus" from my company...

No Lifer
It was a $25 giftcard to Amazon.

Considering 2-3 weeks ago I worked an extra 26 hours in one week (working over 40 hours is very uncommon), and that I make a lot more than $25/hr, it almost feels like a slap in the face.

But I guess it's better than nothing so I can't complain too much! Too bad I purchased something for $26 on Amazon this past Monday heh, I could have used the card instead!

I got $100 from my previous employer. Heh, top that ATOT.

Granted I have done him some favors. He's an hour away and I've fixed some of the local offices technical problems.

Yeah, I haven't had a raise in 4 years, created systems that increased our efficiency by 500%, and I just got an email saying I'll get a .75 raise next month.

WTF. I'm $20K underpaid in my field as it is :| It was one of those "That's it...up goes the resume" moments.

We don't do Christmas bonuses, but I did get an off-cycle performance bonus yesterday 🙂 Not much, but it's better than nothing and my real bonus is still coming in the spring.

my boyfriend's bonus is almost equal to my yearly salary... I try not to think about it too much and be content with the $250 gift card they'll probably give out.

I never get anything bonus wise from my company. This year was record profits as well. But my wife who works for a small law firm got a christmas card yesterday with $250 cash in it. Lucky her.

I would get a crazy relative to kidnap your company's CEO and deliver him/her to your family's Christmas Eve party so you can tell him off.

We dont' get jack shit. We get an end-of-year eval which is then processed in some bizarre way for months and months before they finally announce our comedic "bonus" around May or so.

Bonus lol.

This year we were informed that the whole IT staff (not just helpdesk, but admins too) will be forced to wear uniforms next year (which is of course the most ridiculous thing to spend money on when we are in the middle of a budget crisis). We also found out that staff is likely to be cut and 0% raises for the next 2 years. Good times.

Be happy, it could've been an enrollment to the jelly of the month club.

Hey! If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people and I want him brought right here, with a big ribbon on his head, and I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey shit he is! Hallelujah! Holy shit! Where's the Tylenol?

I know how it feels man. Last year at my old company I got a candy bar. A freaking candy bar. Every previous company I got a $100.

This year at my new company I get one weeks salary as a bonus. Best bonus I've ever received by far.

Wow, I feel pretty good. Every employee in the company I work for got a check for 10% of our annual wage. I work for a small company, less than 50 people. We had record profits this year, company gave a decent chunk of it back to the employees.
