Windows 10 provides users with plenty of personalization options. Users can change the desktop background with a picture, live picture, solid gradient and also accent colors. Similarly, the lock screen background can also be altered by using your favorite background or using a customized picture. It also allows users to change the color of the start menu. Here is how you change the color of the start menu in the Windows 10 system.
Click ‘Start Windows’ Icon
Click the ‘Start Windows Icon’ that you can find on the left corner of the taskbar. Another way to access the start menu is to press the ‘Start Windows Key’ on your keyboard.
Click ‘Settings’ Option
You will find a list of recently and frequently accessed applications listed on the start menu. To alter the desktop personalization, click the ‘Settings’ option as shown below.
Select ‘Personalization’ option
In the settings window, you will find different setting options like the system, devices, network, updates, security, personalization, time, etc. Here select the ‘Personalization’ setting option.
Click ‘Colors’ Option
In the 'Personalization Settings Window', you will find settings related to the background, lock screen, color, themes and 'Start' menu. Click the ‘Color’ option to alter the color of the 'Start' menu.
Turn of ‘Automatically pick an accent color’ Option
You must turn off the setting for 'Automatically pick an accent color from my background’ option in order to choose your desired color for the 'Start' menu.
Click Your Favorite Color
By scrolling down, you will find a variety of color options for the 'Start' menu. Scroll to find and select your ‘Preferred Color’ for the 'Start' menu. Here the yellowish orange color is chosen.
