Default Another death in the KMOX family.

We've suffered another death in the St Louis KMOX family. You all may remember the death of Jack Buck a short while ago. Then there was Joel Bushbaum. Now we have another....

KMOX Morning News Anchor Nan Wyatt found murdered at home
TWIN OAKS, Mo. (AP) __ Nan Wyatt, a personality with St. Louis radio powerhouse KMOX, was found slain in her home Tuesday night, St. Louis County police said. A suspect was in custody. Wyatt, co-host of the ``Total Information A.M.'' program on the station known as ``the Voice of St. Louis,'' was found shot to death in a bedroom of her home in this St. Louis suburb, police spokesman Mason Keller said. He declined to immediately discuss the relationship between victim and suspect and whether the suspected weapon was found. ``This investigation is going to continue. This is still a fresh scene,'' Keller said outside Wyatt's home, deferring additional comment until Wednesday. Keller said St. Louis County authorities fielded a call about 6 p.m. about a possible homicide, then responded to Wyatt's home and found her body. Wyatt hosted the St. Louis' top drive-time morning radio show since 1996 after holding several other KMOX jobs and working briefly at Chicago's WBBM-AM. Wyatt, known for her in-depth political reporting, has won several awards, including the National Associated Press Award for Enterprise Reporting. Karen Carroll, who recently stepped down as KMOX's vice president and general manager to pursue other interests outside the industry, eulogized Wyatt as a charitable colleague who read voraciously to stay up to date on news, events and issues as the station's go-to journalist. ``I've watched her grow into an incredible newswoman,'' said Carroll, who spent almost three decades in St. Louis radio. ``I am in shock (about Wyatt's death). I just have a hard time believing it. Nan was the strength and backbone of KMOX News.'' ``She was in love with this area, she was in love with this town,'' added Charles Jaco, a former CNN correspondent who was fired by KMOX radio in November. ``She was the consummate pro behind the microphone __ skeptical without being cynical.'' Why do the good ones die so soon?
