corsair 520hx for system #1, corsair 520hx for system #2. Could get away with a antec earthwatt 430w on system #2 btw, http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16817371006. Really no doubt about it.

For system #1 this PSU would do the trick as well, http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16817139003. Some people are going to say you should go with the 520hx, or even with the 620hx. With the first I could agree, with the second I couldn't. It somewhat depends wether you will upgrade some components in the future though, but the 520hx provides plenty of headroom, even if you throw a 8800gtx in there, or a x2900xt.

Welcome to AnandTech, The Merc.

CompUSA has the Antec 500W Earthwatts for $49.99. I think they can be will-called(picked up at the store), that will save shipping. They are good units...buy two.

That's probably an even better suggestion. If he sais they are good PSU's, and they come for 50$, then it's an easy decision for you.

Hmz, heres another suggestion, if you are in the market for a new case, you could consider the antec sonata III. It comes with the antec earthwatt 500w, and costs 99.99$ at compusa. That means you get the case for 50$, which is a bargain imo.

Default Which Power Supply's?

Thanks for the feedback. I've decided to for Corsair HX 520w for system 1 and Antec Sonata III (inc. 500w PSU) case for system 2, having already considered these options it made my decision easier.

Just one other quick question. I'm baffled with all of this ATX 2.0, 2.1, 2.2 stuff. Is it to do with compatibility with the motherboard or the size of the PSU? I have quite an old Coolermaster CM Stacker case and I'm wondering if the HX520 will fit (I'll quite happily attack the case with a dremal if it doesn't)

Thanks for all of the help, very clear and concise answers.

EDIT: I did some googling and found the answer to my question.
